O, Africa – Show Me

O, Africa – Show Me

“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.”

…variations of this quote are attributed to Henry Kissinger

O, Africa: So rich, yet so poor.

Rich Africa“Africa is rich in exotic foods, culture, land, natural resources, yet often cannot feed its own people.”

O, Africa…
Go back to the farm
Go back – build and nurture your economic base.
O, Africa…
Go back to value creation
Go back to mining, processing and transforming
O, Africa…
Embrace manufacturing…
Embrace the intrinsic economic power already at your disposal
O, Africa…
Your continued stance towards the land is a crime
The continued neglect of the rich resources is slavery at best
O, Africa…
Do some research into your history and understand the missionaries who brought Christianity to the West Coast…were also expanding their territories since they were traders.
They were explorers…dreamers…commercial lords.
O, Africa…Yes, we thank God for the message of redemption, grace, illumination and revelation but it is not meant or designed to be an excuse for your laziness.
 Rich Africa
Wake up, my people
O, Africa…
This model of Christianity where you do nothing and simply pray 24/7 is unsustainable.
It is not even scriptural.
It is not right
O, Africa…
Father Abraham, Isaac, Jacob had many cows…
Plenty farm lands might I add.
O, Africa…
Embrace hard and smart work Africa
Ditch the excuses and bickering
Abandon the easy scheme of maximum pay with no work
O, Africa…
We can’t all be pastors
We can’t be in church all day
We must work…create…innovate…change…transform
O, Africa…
Africa must work ‘out’ her riches…through hard and smart work.
Africa must value work
Africa must encourage work
Africa must reward work
Africa must nurture thoughts
Africa must work ‘out’ your riches…through hard and smart work.

Stop being lazy and get back to the land.
After all, faith without works is dead.

Dead!
Finally, this excerpt below is true of Nigeria as well…perhaps all of Africa so don’t get hung up on the example of Ghana. The moral of the story is something is broken, not right and unsustainable!

“Ghana is the only country in the world where church services are conducted Monday-Monday, 24 hours. People don’t go to farm anymore. They rather would go to church with the hope that God will provide food.” Another added: “Church is big business and you can launch it without regulation. Since there are no jobs, we will continue to see more ‘churches’.”
